Leather barrettes are made using high quality latigo leather, hand picked beads (metal, glass, porcelain, etc.), and golf tees. I use golf tees because they are prefinished, don't splinter, aren't sharp, hold beads very well, come in many sizes, and are original. Beads are attached using quality crafting wire. The ends of the wire are tucked inside of the beads to prevent catching on hair. Each barrette is designed and made by me. Some designs are used more than once, but no two barrettes are ever 100% the same.
Barrettes come in 3 sizes: Large, Medium, and Small. Large barrettes are for very thick hair. Medium barrettes are for normal to fine hair.
Lace-ups are made using latigo leather lace, suede leather lace, or metallic elastic lace. Lace-ups are used to wrap a ponytail like a ponytail sleeve. They can also be used for a french braid type of ponytail, or on only a small strand of hair. Each one comes with instructions. Also available in custom widths or custom lengths for especially thick or long hair.
